For a design week worthy of respect, you must also choose the right food.
Because, you know, food&design have always been a perfect couple, at least for us Italians!
And then the poke in 2018 has depopulated. So during this design week I couldn’t not offer it as a “design plate”! For those who still could not enjoy it and visit these fantastic colored and design poke bars, I have prepared a complete list of the most beautiful ones! My selection therefore takes into consideration the furnishing of the restaurant rather than the food that can be eaten (the evaluation of the quality of the food I leave to those who are more experienced than me!)
For the uninitiated, poke, or pokè, is a typical Hawaiian dish. The pokè is the name of the bowl in which the typical raw fish salad is served cut into cubes and combined with rice or salad and other seasonings. Obviously, there are many variations, which offer mixes that you must try!
The Botanical Club
Via Tortona, 33Â Milano
I was fascinated by the iron structure they built above the counter. Full of plants of course, as the name of the restaurant suggests.
Temakinho
Via Guglielmo Marconi, 4, Milano
The Temakinho near the Duomo is a show of fresh and bright colors! The beautiful floral wallpaper they used and the counter covered with turquoise geometric tiles.
Poke House
Via Gaetano de Castillia, 24, Milano
 I saw the restaurant in the Isola area precisely because it was next to the Ca’ Ventiquattro , Fuorisalone event, but they have two other places in Milan, one in the Navigli area. From the local in Isola, I was struck by the presence of cactus (real) in the window and pink on the walls! a giant Big Bubble practically 🙂

Pub on the Navigli that welcomes you with a typically marine themed wallpaper! an intense blue color prevails. Nice the counter where you can choose your own Poke!

Pokeria has several pub in Milan, but I was struck by the one in Corso XXII Marzo for the wallpaper they used: it expresses an incredible vitality and energy!
