From 3rd to 5th September I will be in Dubai, cause I’m going to reach another destination I’ll talk to you in the next post.
Now I want to talk to you about Dubai Design District and Dubai Design Week to be held in November! Also follow me on my Intagram profile to accompany me on this trip.
What is the Dubai Design District
Luxurious farewell ostentatious and opulent golden taps. Baroque and pharaonic finishes are also reduced. The Dubai Design District has approached the taste of Arabian Gulf collectors with sophisticated design and quality, niche and status symbol as a unique piece or limited edition.
The Dubai Design District, born in June 2013 and known as d3, is the home of designers, artists and creative thinkers.
It is one of the many specialized Dubai Free Zone (EAUs) and is located near the Business Bay area. The huge exhibition area is becoming a reference point for world-class producers in the fields of art, fashion and design. A place where local creators and internationally renowned professionals meet and mix. The purpose is to promote the growth of local businesses, to increase the contribution of fashion and fashion to GDP and to promote the brands of the UAE. It is no coincidence that 2020 will host Expo 2020.
The Dubai Design District, like all other Free zones, provides for the absence of taxation, full foreign ownership of social capital, the ability to transfer profits and profits abroad without bureaucracy and reduced documentation in English.
Downtown Design Dubai: next appointment
From 14 to 17 November 2017, the Dubai Design District will host Downtown Design and will be the highlight of the Dubai Design Week.
Downtown Design Dubai is the only platform in the Middle East for industry professionals looking for an original and high quality design. The 5th edition of the Fair has well-established world-renowned brands and emerging brand names in furnishing (kitchens, bathrooms, salons), lighting, fabrics, carpets and floor coverings, natural coatings, Furnishings and new technologies. Downtown Design stands out for a high level of connectivity and interaction. The dynamic and stimulating environment promotes business exchanges in a simple and efficient way. Downtown Design is held under the patronage of His Majesty Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.
Italy is the protagonist of Dubai Design District
At Dubai Design District we find not only space for famous Italian design brands, just think that among the exibithors of 2017 we find Antonio Lupi Design and Moroso.
The Dubai Design District is thought to be a place to live, where to linger and consume high quality foods.
Excellence in design and food meets all togheter!
When it comes to cooking, Italy is a must. “Amorino“, located at building 11, is the excellence of ice cream made in Italy that has conquered all of Europe and North America. Founded in 2002 by the Christian Friends Serena and Paolo Benassi, Amorino proposes ice cream from the strictly artisanal preparation and processing in which ingredients quality, consistency, flavor and flavor blend. The result is a perfectly balanced ice cream. As he likes to point out Cristiano Sereni: “Our ice creams and sorbets are mixed every day. Our recipes provide a period of maturation that allows to refine every aroma and leave time to every taste to find its own personality. Organic farms and high quality whole milk. In our ice creams there is no artificial flavor and no dye. ” In order to preserve the integrity and the quality of the product, processing does not take place in the store.
I absolutely want to try the Amorino ice cream!
In building 4, however, it is located “Vicolo” which brought the streetfood in the United Arab Emirates. The owners wanted to rebuild a rustic and lively environment, similar to that of small cafes and taverns, where to present the best of authentic Italian regional recipes. The menu starts with street frying with puddings, brushed pasta and mozzarella cheese. It enriches the scents of genuine Mamma’s cooking such as tomato soup, pasta, pizza and delicious sweet tricolors: Sicilian cannoli, foliage and tiramisu.
Also Vicolo could be a stop-over, between Lasagna and Design!
