What is the Hoxton Hotel in Paris?
The Hoxton Hotel in Paris is known as the most important Boutique Hotel in Paris and one of the best Design Hotels in the world. It is the most important site of the Hoxton group and is famous not only for the beauty of its interior and furnishings, but also for the location of the building. In fact it is located right in the 2nd arrondissement, within walking distance of restaurants such as Bambou and Frenchie and all the department stores. From the very first moment we understand how this hotel adopts a very lively, refined, enveloping style that perfectly combines design, functionality and aesthetic beauty.
A practical example is the lobby, preciously decorated with the collaboration of Soho House and designed to make guests feel as if they were at home.
The atmosphere of this Design Hotel
The design ambience of Hoxton is truly fantastic: the hotel is housed in an 18th-century five storey building and has 172 rooms. The top floor suites can enjoy a stunning view directly on the Eiffel Tower. The very structure of the palace is particularly fascinating as it was the town residence of Etienne Rivié, adviser to Louis XV, and was built by the famous architect Nicolas d’Orbay.
The setting of the building and its features have been maintained with care so that you can stay in one of the best examples of Rococo architecture. Not at all the building was declared a historic monument by the French government. Particularly worthy of note are the decorated facade and the two picturesque courtyards. Even in the interior there is a prestigious atmosphere that is only given by palpable historical memory: both in the bar and in the hall dominate large spiral stairs dating back to the 18th century. In the bar you can also admire a magnificent mosaic.
To make the setting even more comfortable, the decor of the restaurant is a pleasant mix of classic and modern, based on leather sofas and wooden chairs. Instead, the cocktail bar is particularly welcomed by soft poufs and green floral wallpaper on the walls.
Rooms and style of furnishing
The Hoxton Paris offers four types of rooms: Shoebox, Cozy, Roomy and Biggy. All rooms are designed to be particularly comfortable and feature large windows. The furnishing style is modern, based on warm, enveloping colors that give a feeling of welcome and well-being.
In addition, precise stylistic choices of aesthetic impact have been made, such as installing in all the parquet rooms in precious Hungarian oak wood. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom, decorated with refined touches, such as copper-colored taps and beautiful ceramic tile rivets. The fourth floor bedrooms feature exposed wooden beams dating back to the 18th century. Interior design and decoration was carried out by Humbert & Poyet design studio under the supervision of Ennismore’s creative studio. In order to pay tribute to the historic memory of the palace, wooden panels and decorative frames have been installed on the wall. At the same time, a touch of local flavor has been introduced using furnishings made by the most beloved French designers.
For me it is an adorable atmosphere, do not you think? And it’s also available on Booking!
