You’ve probably already noticed in the Portfolio the project for a nordic style basement room! And you’ve already known virtually Paolo, who had just settled down the basement room floor, opening up the large windows.
For this project I was contacted to complete the furnishing of the basement room which will be used as a leisure area.
The basement room has an entrance door directly from the garden and we are on the ground floor. So it’s not an under ground basement room like many others!
The atmosphere that we wanted to create was outlined in clear colors, reproducing a Nordic style basement room.
The furnishings to reuse
Paolo wanted to keep some furnishings from which to start to complete the furniture: an Ikea red sofa, a counter in dark wood, and a dark wood dining table.
Dressing the sofa of another fabric, proposed with a light gray, will be essential, and also making the furniture bar of a dirty white lacquer from the carpenter. This allows to create a neutral base of nordic inspiration and introduce another color. Fundamental to think of a nordic style basement room.
The project
The project started with these basics, beginning to define several distributive proposals in the plan and proposing an integration of lighting. The proposal was to create a downturn on the perimeter of the two areas where the tavern is divided, with a light balcony. The ceiling is not very high: I had 235cm.
In order to create the nordic style in the basement room, the proposed color palette, then chosen, was built on gray, beige and green.
The chosen living furniture had, among the various lacquering proposals, a nice green off. This is the composition of the Plan modules available on Arredaclick and with which EasyRelooking now has a consolidated partnership. I was thinking of inserting a wooden panel for the TV. This was then eliminated in the final solution, as the customer wants a 65-inch TV
Arredaclick’s consultant, Chiara, also sent me a lot of sample photographs to decide on the colors of the lacquer. Even for fabrics and stool leather, he sent me several photographs, fundamental to the final choice. The client is in Padua, so it was complicated for him to go to Lentate Sul Seveso to see live samples!
The green, very switched off, will be inserted into the cabinets of the living room and then be taken back from the leather stools. Bar stools are the Akira, available on Arredaclick with a very clean line!
The stool leather, which is really available in a large number of colors and typologies, will have the Mauritius code approaching the lacing of the living room. The green will also be inserted with the vinyl rug for the dining table, slim and comfortable to clean. The vinyl rug is of the brand I love, Beija Floor, of which I have already spoken in this post!
Beautiful then the Janet armchair, available with contrast stitching that will also be inserted with a green off to resume the color palette!
In the render it was then possible to display two different models of dining table chairs: the famous Masters by Kartell or the Cinnamon chairs, monocoque in wood, available on Arredaclick in lacquered open pores.
The audio system
The strong point of the tavern is, finally, the audio 5.1 system I immediately suggested to the customer. Why should I restrict myself to TV when a 2 meter wide projector can be inserted? The projector canvas can be embedded in the plasterboard and will be invisible when not in use. So you can enjoy sports and movies even during a dinner party, sitting around the long wooden table!
What do you say? A tavern where it will be nice to live and enjoy the weekend!
