Palazzo Daniele is a luxurious hotel located in the heart of Salento, in Gagliano del Capo, in the province of Lecce. The environments rich in history, enhanced by modern and functional furnishing accessories, are able to give a unique and unforgettable stay, dedicated to wellness and refined luxury.
The architectural idea that inspired the restoration of the Hotel was to create the widest possible spaces, to enhance the ceilings decorated with precious frescoes and the beautiful floors, historical elements that form the foundation of the great value of the building.
The walls, preferably left bare, enhance the ceilings and floors to an even greater extent; there is an unusual and pleasant alternation of ancient family portraits and contemporary art.
In this way, we witness a magical fusion between ancient and modern; the latter combines perfectly with the first, thanks to the minimalism of the furnishings, which are functional and meet all the needs of the guests, who can enjoy the beauty of the ancient structure and the discreet, solid and contemporary presence of the furnishing elements modern.
In each room there are elements of contemporary design, which are part of a seamless dialogue with the numerous works of art. These in turn become functional: the light box by Simon d’Exea gives light to the rooms; the installation of a shower with a rain water cascade, in a context designed taking inspiration from an ancient source, with a six meter high ceiling and a large round basin, the fruit of the able mind of Andrea Sala.
The ritual of the shower becomes, in this way, an intimate, pleasant moment, in which we find ourselves catapulted into an ancient world, with slow and relaxing rhythms, and at the same time enjoying all the comfort given by the large modern showerhead, which seems almost magically falling from the wonderful vaulted ceiling.
The large window, located in this environment, offers a glimpse of dreams about the surrounding greenery: a bucolic paradise where you can strip yourself of anxieties, stress and worries, to be able to devote yourself exclusively to the care of your body and your mind.
This is precisely the spearhead of the Royal Junior Suite, made unique by the shower environment.
The bathroom has particular characteristics, also due to the presence of Flaminia ceramics and backlit mirrors. Contemporary design and ancient art coexist, conveying a unique and regenerating energy.
The atmosphere of the rooms: magnificence is combined with minimalism
In each of the nine rooms at Palazzo Daniele you can breathe an atmosphere out of time, where excellent contemporary art, monastic decorations and wonderful vaulted ceilings decorated with antique frescoes and minimal furnishings are blended together.
In particular, the suites overlook the lush and inspirational courtyard; the ceilings, with the vaults and frescoes of the nineteenth century, reveal all their value and the magnificence typical of past times. The minimal furnishings, like the cabinets with a black steel frame, do not stand in contrast with the environment rich in history, but enhance it in a discreet and functional way. The king size beds are perfect to give guests a regenerating and regal rest.
