The house of Laura and Paul is a penthouse on two levels still under construction, overlooking large terraces. They contacted me to support the complete set of:
- living room
- kitchen
- bedroom with walk-in closet
If you have already visited the dedicated section of the portfolio you could have already get an idea of the project for the kitchen and the living room.
Here you will also find the reference to the furniture and the why of some design choices!
Open kitchen
From the start plan, the kitchen was completely closed while one of Laura and Paul’s requests was to have an open environment.
The open kitchen on the living room was the perfect solution, creating a horseshoe-shaped kitchen with and snack counter.
This solution does not include a double table between kitchen and living room, but fast meals can be consumed on the snack counter, using the large table for lunch and dinner.
The open kitchen also allows you to have a complete view of the beautiful terrace, which has a large sliding window in the living area and another window door for the kitchen. Guaranteed light!
As by design, the kitchen will be simple and linear but with a space of every respect!
When the kitchens are open on the living room, I think it is better that they are linear and simple. The colors must of course be related to the context!
The kitchen will be light gray matt lacquered, with a backrest between the floor and the fins of the same top finishing. Simple and unobtrusive!
The shelves, in line with the peninsula, are the only element that breaks the composition and will be in Briccola of Venice. These will be taken from the shelves next to the closet of the entrance and living room.
Lines in the living
Lines and geometries become protagonists in the living room!
For the TV wall I designed a two-folded basement with a peculiarity of 45° for opening.
To the left of the bases an asymmetrical composition begins, consisting of elements in Briccola of Venice and matt lacquered folding doors. In particular, the finishes chosen are precisely:
- Briccola of Venice for the shelves and the box
- a matt lacquer in Gray London, so that you can reconnect to the colors of kitchen and table
- the other wall units and bases in matt lacquered White
The living room furniture was created with the Logic series available on Diotti.com, which has the finishing in Briccola of Venice.
DISCOVER PARTNERSHIP WITH DIOTTI.COM
Next to the sofa, it was decided, by analyzing the solution with customers, to enter the Lagolinea library, which is only 3cm thick and deep only 18cm. Correct dimensions for a bookcase beside the sofa!
The Lagolinea library, in its simplest form, will also be embedded in disengagement but with different colors. In particular, green, gray and, for a single shelf, a dusty pink will be used.
The dining table chairs made of leather are by Midj, also available on Diotti.com.
All the lamps of this project are by Artemide, starting with Droplet in the living and Nur on the snack counter, both already in the hands of customers.
Color patches
Color patches give personality to an environment that was deliberately left neutral.
This is Caparol Agave 40 color code, a green however off and not invading.
As in all my projects, the furnishings in the render are all really affordable!
Customers are aware of the result they expect, thanks to the rendering and tailor-made results.
