Pink seems to be the main color of the coming spring season. Starting from Merci, the famous Parisian shop that, on the occasion of the fashion week, has chosen pink as the color for its new furnishings. An ode to femininity, delicacy and good mood that this soft pastel color can evoke.
The rose will be the color of spring 2018: word of Merci and of H&M
Pink is one of those colors that clearly divides the tastes: either you love it or hate it, generally. The new trends, however, promise to change factions to many of those who have always looked at it with suspicion, thanks to the new way to propose it, and to integrate it, with some authoritative voices in terms of home-design. We speak of high-sounding and important names, such as Merci and H&M, who have embraced the cause of the pink with enthusiasm and are inserting this color into their proposals with a taste, refinement and confidence that promise to conquer even the public that has always preferred more neutral colors. Merci, for example, has decided to turn its sales point into a total-pink oasis to celebrate the fashion week: a risky choice, but that effectively underlines the importance that this color will have in the coming months.
H&M Home, for its part, has included in the catalog, for the new spring collection, various accessories in pink. Starting with the wall-mounted objects, through the soft terry towels, to the patterns of duvet covers and bedspreads, which see the rose blend with rather overbearing ease in multicolored patterns, all in pastel tones.
An house all in pink?
The fashion of the pink is raging not only with regard to accessories and furnishing accessories but also for the real furnishings. Several manufacturers of kitchens, for example, have labeled the classic black and white as “outdated”, proposing furniture modules in shocking pink. The bright colors, original, never seen before in certain contexts, are the trend of this new year, individually or even combined, to create eccentric contrasts, absolutely new, innovative and strong aesthetic impact. Also in terms of bathroom furniture, several leading brands in the interior design sector are proposing bathroom fittings in pink and furniture of the same color. Not to be neglected, then, the discourse of the walls: already in the last autumn, in the environment, turned the strong and clear concept of how important it was, to have a modern and trendy home, avoid the walls in the classic white colors or yellowish and lean for a repainting by choosing more striking colors. The rose was among these, particularly recommended for bedrooms and bedrooms for little or young girls.
Innovative combinations
Of course, not all apartments are suitable to be redone in total pink key. You can, however, decide to be conquered by the fashion of the rose by choosing a few, but refined, furnishing accessories with which to create extremely chic, classy contrasts. The most elegant of all is, without a doubt, the combination of pink and gray: combining these two colors gives the environment a charming, delicate, very classic and romantic atmosphere, of a unique elegance and refinement. For example, you can think of a gray sofa decorated with pink cushions, perhaps with a matching rug.
Very nice also the idea of the gray sofa surrounded by one or two pink armchairs, for a more incisive result. The same can be said for the pink-black combination, decidedly original but which gives a surprising final result: a less aggressive contrast than that between black and white, brighter and more modern. With gray better to prefer a point of pastel pink or baby, with black instead you can dare the shocking pink and fuchsia.
Pink and green: who would have thought of it?
Pink / gray and pink / black, although they are rather original combinations in the field of furniture, they are nevertheless already seen in other situations: we think of men’s clothes, for example, often enhanced by a pink tie. The real innovation, suggested by H&M Home, is the pink-green combination. A combination that is not thought with ease and immediacy, yet it is extremely scenographic, fresh, spring. H & M bedspreads play on this: fantasies where pastel green intersects perfectly with pale pink, for a very chic and delicate final result, reminiscent of a flowery field. Try it for yourself: the bedroom can be the ideal test bed, perhaps combining green sheets with pink bedspreads, or vice versa, or focusing on green apple bedding and pink baby rugs. A truly original contrast, very refined and surprisingly fashion.
