Today I want to tell you about a company reality that has pleasantly struck me!
When Sukhi contacted me to propose to review one of their rugs, I was glad that there might still be such a reality.
What is Sukhi
Sukhi sells handmade rugs by real craftsmen, buying them directly from the production site. It interfaces directly with the people who create the rug and with this they get two fundamental results:
• lower prices for the end customer
• Excellent working conditions for the carpet maker
We are talking about carpets, and therefore people, coming from Turkey, Nepal, India and Morocco.
Each rug is tailor-made for the customer by his own craftsman!
Carpets are all handmade. The customer who receives his carpet knows that he has been specifically created for him!
After informing me then I accepted with pleasure to review one of their rugs.
My choice: the Moroccan rug Beni Ourain
Who follows me knows how much I like lines and geometries.
I had already glimpsed this beautiful carpet in a movie and on several magazines and I loved it from the very first moment!

When I saw that I could ask for a sample to be tested, I did not hesitate!
My choice fell on the Beni Ourain rug, woven in Morocco!
Of course I wanted that with the thin lines to create rhombuses, on a light beige background. And of course it was the one with the longest production times. But I could wait for 12 weeks!
And finally he’s here! Adorable.
Beni Ourain Material
Beni Ourain is created entirely with Moroccan sheep wool and it is not stained!
It is a 100% natural product
The sheep, with the wool suitable for producing this masterpiece, are raised on the mountain range called Atlas, Morocco. They produce this special wool, soft to the touch and a formidable color!

Think even geometric lines and dark brown designs are always made with sheep’s wool! The wool for these designs is taken from the head of the sheep, while the wool of the body is used for the rest.
It is a carpet I love for its softness but also for the ability to link the long history of nomadic Berber tribes with modern interiors.
