In this post I will explain you the project of a bathroom with shower and tub! It is part of a larger project, whose final renders we’ve seen them in the portfolio section Nordic Inspirations. Customers had clear ideas: for their master bath (they have another bath that has been studied as a laundry area) wanted a bathroom with shower and tub.
I do not love the solutions with a shower and tub combination in a single space, so I tried to please them in another way! let’s see how 🙂
Shower and bath side by side
The only solution that wowed both (yes me too, because I want to propose solutions that excite me too) was to create a bathroom with shower and tub side by side. It similar to create a small spa area, without sacrificing the bathtub or the shower.
The project
The bathroom measures permitted this solution: from the plan, you have 180cm wide and 320cm long. A bathroom big enough. Obviously I had to study it in detail and recommend a few small tricks which, after investigation, have been approved! let us see the precautions for this bathroom with shower and tub.
The main suggestions highlighted in the course of the project were:
- the creation of a door opening of 70cm: this door will be a folding door, mainly because it was not possible to create a sliding door (the position in which we needed to position the door would not leave space to the insertion of the frame) and a hinged door would hamper both the wc area than the sink
- tailored and shallow washbasin
- use the clear washable enamel back to wc and bidet: easy to apply and with an assured result, it saves at least 2cm that would be lost with the application of the tiles
Obviously for the rest of the bathroom, the walls and the floor will be coated with stoneware. I proposed a clear stoneware, also on shades of gray, but not too dark. Instead, I proposed to characterize the only area behind the sink with the legendary cementine Azulej by Mutina.
The tailored washbasin allows you to take advantage of all 50cm deep without being able to get in the way with the door. The proposal is to insert a laminate wood effect for washbasin units, both with deep drawers and free of handles. For the wall units, I studied a composition composed of hinged doors, with central open boxes, matt lacquered with RAL 7035 Light Gray. The core of the composition with open boxes are matt lacquered with RAL5015 Blue Dove.
What do you think about it? You would like to have a bathroom with shower and tub side by side?
